ORBITH, a satellite Internet service provider, reported that it has begun the deployment of a key connectivity project for the province of Salta, which includes the installation of 218 sites to provide high-speed internet to 194 educational establishments and 24 public organizations distributed in remote or difficult-to-access areas.

«This is the ‘Connectivity and Technological Replacement of Satellite Internet for Rural Schools’ program, whose goal is twofold: to bring high-quality internet connection for the first time to rural educational establishments and, at the same time, update the existing infrastructure through state-of-the-art satellite technology: rural schools that previously had 1 Mbps speed connectivity will now have 200 Mbps, with 1 TB plans. The departments benefiting from this delivery of antennas are Rivadavia, San Martín, Anta, Rosario de Lerma, Rosario de la Frontera, Chicoana, Guachipas, La Candelaria, La Poma, Orán and Metán,” he reported. Pablo Mosul, CEO of ORBITH and added: «In the first stage of the project, awarded by the Salta Modernization Secretariat, works are already being carried out at 104 points in low LEO orbit, which include 94 educational institutions and 10 security units. This initiative of the Government of Salta is fundamental for the future of the province. Ensuring that every student has access to quality internet, regardless of their geographical location, is an act of social justice and an engine of development.»

«The impact of this project transcends connectivity: by bringing high-speed internet to these rural schools, we are equipping our young people with the necessary tools to compete in the 21st century, opening a range of learning and professional development opportunities that did not exist before. It is a historic technological leap that benefits the entire educational community,» he explained. Pablo Mosiul.

«When we talk about connectivity, it is not just about improving internet access, but about bringing quality education to all parts of the province. Therefore, in Salta, we work so that each decision in educational matters benefits all regions, guaranteeing learning opportunities wherever each Salteño lives,» he said. Cristina Fiore, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Salta during the delivery ceremony held last Tuesday, October 21, in which the Secretary of Modernization, Martín Güemes; he Mayor of General Güemes, Carlos Rosso; and on behalf of ORBITH, Diego Rodi, Corporate Commercial Manager; y Nicolás Vuga, Service Manager; in addition to representatives of the benefited schools.

Diego Rodi, Corporate Commercial Manager of ORBITH, highlighted the technological capacity that allows a project of this magnitude to be carried out: «At ORBITH, we are proud to bring cutting-edge technology to the most remote corners of Salta, which allows us to provide connectivity of up to 200 megabytes. It is not just about connecting, but about doing so with a quality and speed that allows the real use of educational platforms, telemedicine and digital procedures, even in the most complex areas.»

«The connectivity of public organizations is also crucial. A connected State is a more efficient, transparent and closer State to the citizen. Getting security agencies and other organizations in rural areas to work in a network will significantly improve the response capacity and the quality of the services that the province provides to its inhabitants,» he analyzed. Nicolás Vuga, Service Manager de ORBITH

“We are very happy to be able to contribute to the country’s connectivity, bringing the Internet to hundreds of students, teachers and public workers who today can access new tools to learn, teach and develop,” said the CEO de ORBITH and concluded: “With this implementation, ORBITH consolidates its role as a strategic partner in the digital transformation of Argentina, using its latest generation satellite technology to build a more connected and inclusive future.”
