Following one of these calls, made just before 1.30pm, the helpline contacted East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) over concerns about Nur’s mental state and fears he would harm himself or others.
The ambulance service, considered the appropriate agency to handle the situation, sent an ambulance to Nur’s home, which arrived just before 3 pm, shortly after he returned from the murder.

«The day Gurvinder was murdered, our lives not only changed, but shattered. Our home, once filled with laughter, warmth and his joyful presence, is now stifled by a silence so loud it hurts,» Danny’s family stated in Court.
They described Danny as a «devoted husband, a loving father, a dear brother and a loyal friend», but above all, «just a good man.» «Every morning, we wake up with a glimmer of hope, waiting to hear his footsteps on the stairs, ready to work, ready to have breakfast and chat. But there is only silence,» they added.
