The Airport Security Police (PSA) is going through a moment of strong institutional questioning after complaints of irregularities, nepotism and unrest among staff. The tensions raise doubts about its operation in sensitive judicial cases.
According to recent publications, the force led by Alfredo Hernán Gallardo faces claims for irregular appointments, promotions without justification and discretionary management of key areas, which would have deteriorated the internal climate.
Sources consulted maintain that this situation affects operation and generates uncertainty in federal investigations in which the PSA has a role of technical support and execution of proceedings. Among them is a case that involves companies in the photofine system in the province of Buenos Aires.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Security is closely monitoring the complaints and the development of internal conflicts, given the risk that management problems will impact ongoing investigations.
