The mountain city is preparing to experience one of its citras gastronomic most anticipated: he “Gastronomic Market” return the days Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November in Avellaneda District con free entry for all visitors. The event, which combines the best of local cuisine with a strong supportive spiritwill allocate the proceeds to benefit the Tandil Food Bank (BAT).
From 6 p.m. both days, more than 20 restaurants and culinary proposals of the city will meet in the same space to offer a full immersion in Tandil gastronomy. The market has been designed with a focus inclusive and diverseguaranteeing options for Vegetarians and menus suitable for celiacsin addition to locally produced drinks that will accompany each tasting.
Valuing local productive identity
The “Gastronomic Market” is consolidated as a fundamental platform to know, value and enjoy the quality of the products that define Tandil’s identity. This edition will highlight several central axes:
- Stands of local producers: Exhibitors of different inputs and regional specialties with tandilense traceability
- Concept KM 0: A special tent will bring together producers under this philosophy, promoting the proximity consumption
- Specialized talks and tastings: They will include tastings of salamis and cheeses jointly led by the Tandil Salame Denomination of Origin Council and the Cheese Cluster
Federal competition and live demonstrations
The event will be the scene of a regional instance of the prestigious Federal Chefs Tournamentorganized by the Hotel and Gastronomic Business Federation of the Argentine Republic (FEHGRA). This competition will bring together the best culinary talents in the region, adding a haute cuisine component to the event.
On the main stage, visitors will be able to enjoy live recipes and the presentation of local products, activities designed to highlight the quality of raw materials and the city’s industries. These demonstrations seek to bring the secrets of professional cooking to the public while promoting the consumption of regional products.

The event is organized by the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Confectioneries and Related of Tandil next to the BATcounting on the support of the FEHGRAthe Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nationthe Undersecretary of Tourism of the Province of Buenos Aireshe Mixed Institute of Tourism of Tandil (IMTT) and the Secretariat of Productive Development and International Relations.
