They officially presented B2B.reservas in Buenos Aires, an innovative collaborative platform that seeks to digitize and automate the corporate hotel reservation ecosystem in Argentina.

The event took place on Monday, November 10 at the Sofitel Recoleta and was attended by representatives from the tourism sector, travel agencies, hoteliers and specialized media.

The presentation was led by Marcos Gay, founder and CEO of B2B.reservas, who traveled especially from Brazil for the announcement, and Carlos Taboada, president of FACVE.

With more than a decade of experience in the Brazilian market, B2B.reservas has established itself as a disruptive solution focused on the field of corporate travel and also a valuable tool for vacation tourism. Its proposal is based on a digital ecosystem that integrates companies, agencies, hotels, OBTs (Online Booking Tools), banks and payment methods, allowing the entire process to be managed completely online, from reservation to payment.

From the Brazilian market to landing in Argentina

Founded in 2013, B2B.reservas was born from a specific need detected by its founder, who after more than two decades in the tourism sector identified two great challenges: the digital exclusion of independent hospitality and the inefficiency of the traditional billing system. «Companies are born to solve problems. And the bigger the problem, the greater the market value of that solution,» Gay said in an interview. His vision was quickly validated by the main players in the sector, who saw in the platform a tool with high potential for impact.

“This solution is not limited to the corporate segment but also serves those who make leisure trips,” the executives added.

In its country of origin, B2B.reservas was selected in 2018 to participate in Endeavor’s Scale-up to Startup program, a distinction that recognizes startups with the greatest growth potential in Latin America. This recognition consolidated its position as the only Brazilian technology company specialized in integrated solutions for the corporate travel segment, covering the entire process: from search and reservation to payment.

In Brazil, the platform managed to digitally include more than 4,500 hotels—many of them independent—and connect more than 800 cities, with a projection of more than 400,000 lodging options globally.

During the launch, it was detailed that the expansion plan in Argentina contemplates integrating 300 to 350 hotels in the first four months, with the objective of reaching 1,500 properties within a year. The commercial strategy will prioritize areas with the greatest corporate demand, such as Neuquén, Mendoza and towns linked to Vaca Muerta, where independent hospitality faces great challenges in digitizing.

In addition, the platform already offers more than 5,000 accommodation options in Brazil, which will be available to Argentine agencies, promoting a bilateral flow of reservations between both countries. After the event, several agencies expressed their interest in joining, which anticipates rapid adoption of the model.

One of the pillars of B2B.reservas is B2B.channel, a tool that allows hotels to centrally manage the distribution of their inventory, simultaneously connecting with agencies, OBTs and global OTAs. This functionality democratizes access to the corporate market, especially for independent hotels, which have historically been excluded from the most sophisticated distribution channels.

During the event, it was highlighted that the system allows agencies to access differentiated rates, confirm reservations in real time and operate with greater agility and security. In addition, the solution offers rapid implementation under a “plug & play” model, facilitating integration with existing systems of agencies and companies.

The solution also includes electronic reconciliation tools, generation of VCN (Virtual Card Numbers) and parameterization of travel policies, which allows companies to maintain financial and operational control of their travel expenses. This modular and scalable architecture makes B2B.reservas a platform adaptable to the needs of agencies of all sizes, from large TMCs to regional operators.

This digital payment model, based on virtual cards generated per transaction, already represents more than 75% of the reservations processed by B2B.reservas in Brazil, according to company data. The mass adoption of this system not only eliminated the use of paper, but also made it possible to significantly reduce reconciliation times, minimize administrative errors and optimize financial management for both hotels and agencies.

These results reflect a broader trend that crosses the sector, where digital transformation is no longer an option but has become a strategic necessity. Process automation, payment traceability and system integration are today key factors to guarantee the competitiveness of agencies and the sustainability of hotels, especially in a challenging economic environment such as Argentina.

“Argentina has enormous opportunities to become a leading MICE destination in the region,” said Carlos Taboada at the launch. “The key is to invest in technology, infrastructure and to generate value propositions that respond to the new needs of the corporate traveler.”

Marcos Gay’s personal story was also part of the story shared during the event. He began his career at the age of 14 as an apprentice at Caixa Econômica Federal and then worked for 23 years at Bebetur, a subsidiary of Banco do Brasil specialized in corporate tourism. His time in different Brazilian cities and his experience in agency management allowed him to learn up close the inefficiencies of the traditional system, which led him to undertake with a clear vision: transform the industry from within.

For his part, Carlos Taboada, current president of FACVE, leads the evolution of the industry through his innovative vision, promoting the values of collaboration, the traveler at the center and the positioning of Argentina with the world.

Technology, efficiency and future for corporate tourism

The arrival of B2B.reservas also aligns with global trends in the sector. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global airline industry is expected to reach a net profit of $36 billion by 2025, with total revenue projected at an all-time high of $979 billion and passenger volume close to 4.99 billion. In parallel, global hotel occupancy maintains an average rate of 70.6%, with sustained growth in regions such as Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and a moderate recovery in Latin America.

In this scenario, the digitalization of processes, the incorporation of artificial intelligence and the personalization of the traveler experience are consolidated as strategic axes for the future of corporate tourism. The announcement of the arrival of B2B.reservas is part of this transformation, offering a concrete solution to modernize the management of business trips in Argentina.

With its arrival in the country, B2B.reservas marks a turning point for the development of the corporate and leisure travel market, definitively incorporating many independent hotels into the digital environment and expanding the competitiveness of the sector.
