Cassará Building: Opera returns to the heights

Lyrics are gaining ground again in Buenos Aires. The next Saturday, December 13, at 8 p.m.the Viewing Terrace of the Cassará Building will host a new edition of “Love Stories and Opera”a series that combines live music, heritage architecture and an intimate performance that has already won over its audience.

This will be the third evening of the program, whose protagonist is the tenor of the Teatro Colón Gabriel Centenoaccompanied by prominent figures of the local lyrical scene.

The concert—titled “Night of love, from Puccini to Bocelli”— proposes a tour of famous fragments, from the classics of the Italian repertoire to popular pieces that crossed over into the contemporary world. The performance will be performed by the soprano Barab and Barabthe tenors Gabriel Centeno y Marcelo Monzaniand the teacher Esteban Rajmilchuk on the floor.

The format, one hour and with limited capacityallows a direct link between artists and the public. Each performance feels close, without scenic distance and with the city displayed as natural scenery. A unique setting in a building of high heritage value, where music coexists with the history of the place.

Tickets are now available at areatec.com.ar/actividadesand include a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

The cycle will continue in Februarywith a special date on 14dedicated to music lovers. A proposal designed for those who enjoy opera without intermediaries, in an elegant, well-kept environment and with Buenos Aires illuminated at their feet.
