Nexxt Solutions, Infrastructure Division, manufacturer of connectivity and structured cabling solutions, reported that it continues to strengthen its commitment to the professionalization of the sector through its technical certification program, designed to raise the level of knowledge and skills of installers and engineers in Chile and different Latin American countries.
Nexxt Solutions Infrastructure announced the successful completion of its most recent partner certification in Chile. The event took place on October 2 at the facilities of its wholesaler Intcomex, in Santiago. The conference brought together 23 professionals from the sector, highlighting the participation of installers, integrators and technicians specialized in data networks, many of whom already have solid experience in the implementation of structured cabling projects.
«Our certifications are aimed at professionals in the cabling and networking sector who seek to update themselves in the face of new technological trends. From technicians who are starting out in the area to experienced engineers, everyone finds in these courses an opportunity to validate their knowledge and strengthen their technical profile to take on more demanding projects,» he explained. Jhon Richard Martin, Regional Sales Manager for Latin American countries at Nexxt Infrastructure.
«Many installers and engineers seek practical, updated training that is directly applicable to their daily work. Chile and the rest of the region have enormous technological potential, and at Nexxt we want to accompany that growth by providing knowledge, tools and technical support. Training local specialists strengthens the entire industry,» he stated. Marianela Suco, Regional Territory Manager of Nexxt Infrastructurewho highlighted that the decision to develop the certifications arose after identifying those specific market needs.
A comprehensive program with top-level technical support
The Nexxt Infrastructure certification consists of a theoretical-practical program where participants learn to design, install and certify structured cabling systems in accordance with current international standards. The program includes regulatory concepts, categories, Power over Ethernet (PoE), connectivity and good practices in the field. Additionally, it has technical support from Fluke Networks to carry out product performance tests.
«Certifications are necessary because they ensure that installations are carried out under international standards and proven good practices. In networks that increasingly demand more power and speed, it is not enough to install cable: knowledge and methodology are required,» he stated. Jesús Alexander Gutiérrez Gómez, Regional Presales Engineer for Latin America and the Caribbean at Nexxt Solutions Infrastructureand added: “Obtaining certification offers multiple benefits, including technical recognition from the manufacturer, access to specialized support, and the possibility of offering extended warranties of up to 15 years on the Professional series and 25 years on the Enterprise series, guaranteeing the quality and support of each project.”
According to Jesús Alexander Gutiérrez Gómezlack of knowledge and certification can lead to poor-performing installations, signal losses, overheating in PoE applications, and intermittent failures that are difficult to diagnose. «In addition, it can prevent the project from complying with international standards and voids the possibility of accessing extended manufacturer warranties. In many cases, problems are not detected immediately, but over time they translate into higher costs, rework and loss of customer confidence,» he explained.
The Nexxt Infrastructure expert also stressed that structured cabling is constantly evolving to accompany new demands for speed, power and network density. In recent years, category 6A and higher cables have stood out, capable of supporting up to 10 Gbps and high-power PoE++ applications (60 and 100 W), along with advances in thermal design, shielding and more efficient materials.
Certifications in Chile and the region
Throughout 2025, Nexxt Infrastructure has held certification events in Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Peru and Ecuador. In the coming months, the company hopes to bring the certifications to other countries, such as Venezuela, Jamaica and Belize, and reinforce its presence in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.
«Professionals feel very satisfied with the experience. They appreciate that it is not just about theory, but rather practical and applied training, where they can understand the reason for each standard, carry out real tests and check the impact of a correct installation. Many have asked us to expand the practical part and extend the duration of the course, which demonstrates their genuine interest in delving into the topics and perfecting their skills,» he commented. Jesús Alexander Gutiérrez Gómez.
“Our plan is to continue and strengthen the certification program during 2026. The goal is to expand coverage to more countries where Nexxt Solutions has a presence and reach new cities, working together with our distributors and strategic partners to reach new professionals interested in becoming certified,” he anticipated. Marianela Juice.
«These activities have become a fundamental pillar of our technical training strategy, because they allow us to transfer knowledge, promote good practices and strengthen the community of network infrastructure specialists in Latin America and the Caribbean. Thus, Nexxt Solutions Infrastructure reaffirms its commitment to the training and technical support of installers and professionals, promoting reliable solutions prepared for the current and future challenges of connectivity,» he concluded. John Richard Martin.
