Every year, during the peak transportation season of the Spring Festival, millions of people who work, study or live outside their hometowns return home to join their families for China’s most important traditional festival, resulting in the largest annual human migration in the world.

This year’s Spring Festival falls on February 17. To better respond to the increase in travel demand, rail operators have launched a series of service improvements, including a limited-time free refund policy for wrongly purchased tickets, expanded «silent wagons» and discounted tickets for students.
