In just 9 hours and with more than 1,000 workers, China built a train station

China has made it clear that timing, teamwork and engineering go hand in hand. In an operation that began in the afternoon and ended before dawn, 1,500 workers in perfect harmony achieved the remodeling and connection of the Nanlong station.

This milestone not only stands out for the speed of execution, but also for the technical complexity involved in coordinating heavy machinery in record time.

The project is located in the city of Longyanwithin the province of Fujiansouth of the Asian giant. The central objective of the maneuver was to integrate the railway tracks Ganlong, Ganruilong y Zhanglong with the brand new line of Nanlong.

To achieve this goal, seven work trains and 23 excavators were deployed and operated under a strict schedule. The frenetic activity was captured by drones, showing a tide of workers moving in total synchronicity.

Synchronization and cutting-edge technology

The key to this construction phenomenon was the division of tasks into scales perfectly diagrammed by the engineers in charge. While one group was in charge of paving the land with asphalt and concrete, another team installed monitoring equipment and railway traffic signals.

According to local authorities, this methodology allowed processes that normally require months of planning to be resolved in a single morning of intense work. The new infrastructure is part of an ambitious connectivity plan that covers more than 246 kilometers in length.

This railway network is designed to support trains traveling at a maximum speed of 200 kilometers per hour. Thanks to this advance, travel times between the southeast and the center of China will be drastically reduced, optimizing passenger transportation and the flow of goods in one of the most dynamic regions of the country.

Key data of the Chinese mega-project

  • Regional impact: The work will allow the journey between nearby cities to be reduced from seven hours to just ninety minutes of travel.
  • Heavy machinery: In addition to human personnel, seven specialized construction trains were used for laying rails.
  • Night schedule: The tasks began on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and ended on Saturday at 3:00 a.m. to minimize the environmental impact.
  • Road safety: Advanced light signaling systems and digital traffic sensors were installed during the same operation.
  • Pre-planning: Although the execution lasted nine hours, the soil studies and previous logistics lasted several months.
