He National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI) goes through weeks of maximum tension. The Internal Board of ATE-INTI issued an urgent statement denouncing a process of «dismantling» and «harassment» that directly affects the operational functioning of the institution and the stability of its workers.
What is happening?
According to union authorities, the conflict escalated after a series of episodes that they describe as judicial persecution. Among them, there are complaints of «theft» against delegates – based on the use of security cameras for internal monitoring – which were later dismissed, revealing the political use of the organization’s security resources.
Added to this is the dismissal of a worker in the area of access control and complaints for workplace violence against middle managers, which has generated a climate of uncertainty and general unrest in the Buenos Aires offices.
The workers’ claim
From ATE-INTI they demand immediate responses to what they consider a «budgetary asphyxiation.» The central points of the claim are:
- Reactivation of key areas: They denounce the stoppage in strategic sectors such as Metrology.
- Salary and mobility update: Salary and transportation expenses have been liquidated in the face of inflation and increases in fares.
- Job stability: Continuity guarantee for all jobs.
Next steps
Given the lack of dialogue with the current management, the workers have called for a general meeting next week to define the continuity of a fight plan in defense of the integrity of the institute.
