The force measure will last from March 30 to April 4 and will fully affect the start of the semester. The fight plan includes new strikes in April and a possible Federal University March.
The teachers of the National University of La Plata they resolved deepen the fight plan and confirmed a new strike that will take place from Monday, March 30 to Saturday, April 4, in a context of growing tension over salary and budget claims.
The decision was made by the UNLP Teachers Association (ADULP) in line with what was defined at the national level by CONADU, and once again directly impacts the development of the school year, which had already begun with interruptions after the strike carried out between March 16 and 22.
With this new cessation of activities, the La Plata university will face a conditional start to the semester, with classes suspended in several faculties and a scenario of uncertainty for both students and authorities.
An April with more protests on the agenda
The conflict does not stop at this point. From the teaching union they announced that April will also be crossed by new weeks of unemploymentsince the assembly decided to move forward with another round of strike starting on the 27th of that month.
In parallel, ADULP promotes the holding of a new Federal University March scheduled for April 23, with the objective of making the claim visible throughout the country and adding social support to the protest.
The central axis of the conflict revolves around the lack of progress in salary negotiations and the budgetary situation of the universities. In this framework, teachers demand the reopening of joint ventures, the recovery of purchasing power and the effective implementation of the University Financing Law.
Claims that go beyond unemployment
In addition to forceful measures, the action plan contemplates public classes, plenary sessions and visibility activitiesin a strategy that seeks to transfer the conflict outside the academic field.
From the teaching sector they warn that the situation is already affecting the daily functioning of universities, with difficulties in maintaining the normal delivery of classes and guaranteeing adequate conditions for students and workers.
With this scenario, the UNLP is heading into a key month, crossed by protests and with a conflict that, far from being resolved, adds new chapters and keeps the entire university community on alert.
