17 stories of leaders, entrepreneurs and young professionals that invite you to transform the present through action.

The challenge of doingthe new book by Juliana Maiz Casas published by Editorial Temas, proposes a journey through real stories of very different people – leaders, entrepreneurs and young professionals – who risk their being in their actions and generate an impact on their environments.

Based on 17 interviews with leaders from different fields, the book brings together experiences and learnings from people who dared to question their own limits, act with purpose and inspire others. The challenge of doing explores the value of action and continuous learning as drivers of personal and collective transformation.

The work is structured in two main axes. In the first part, “Transform ourselves to transform the future”where the author analyzes the qualities that characterize those who dare to take the step towards action. From the stories collected in the book, he identifies five characteristics that those who drive change in their environments share: they take a chance, learn from themselves, act with purpose, inspire others, and go after their dreams.

In the second part, “Transform ourselves to create genuine value”the focus shifts to teamwork, innovation and the development of collective potential within organizations. There, Juliana Maiz Casas proposes a model that invites us to transform ideas into action and shares tools designed not only to review what we build, but also to inspire us to shape the future we imagine and make it a reality.

Throughout the book, the author invites us to think about leadership as a dynamic process in which decisions, learning, and shared experiences are transformed into opportunities to generate impact. “Whatever role or personal and professional stage we find ourselves in, we can all enhance our contribution to that small portion of the world in which we have to act,” says Maiz Casas. However, he warns that the ability to achieve this alone is limited: the contribution is multiplied together with others, and that is where the possibilities of creating genuine value expand, that which changes something real in people’s lives.

«Juliana shows us, in her wonderful book, that doing has an intrinsic connection with who we are, with how we were built with others. It opens a journey that challenges us, that generates a spiral of reflection and practice at the same time, from real experiences that question and inspire.«, highlights Lic. María Alejandra Molina, Head of Talent – DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion).

With a look that combines reflection, experience and open questions, The challenge of doing invites us to rethink leadership from a deeply human perspective: one that understands that transforming the future often begins by daring to do… and doing it together with others.
