Easter with proposals in La Plata: what to do this Sunday in the city

There will be activities for the whole family, with workshops, shows, cinema and artistic exhibitions in different emblematic spaces.

The city of La Plata is preparing to experience Easter Sunday with an agenda full of cultural, recreational and artistic proposals designed for all ages.

One of the central points will be the Children’s Republic, where the Artisans Walk will operate from 11:00 and, between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m., the “Trash” workshop will take place, aimed at children and based on the use of recycled materials. Later, at 5:00 p.m., the Rukuka Circo show will bring juggling and acrobatics to the venue’s amphitheater.

In the afternoon there will also be a proposal to tour the city. Starting at 4:00 p.m., starting from the Founding Stone of Plaza Moreno, the “Dream City” Walking Tour will take place, which will include stops at iconic spaces such as the Cathedral of La Plata, the Argentine Theater of La Plata and Pasaje Dardo Rocha.

Cinema will also have its place on the agenda. “La Virgen de la Tosquera” will be screened at the INCAA Space at Cine Select at 6:00 p.m., while “Elma’s Dreams” will be shown at the Islas Malvinas Cultural and Memory Center, within the framework of a new anniversary of the Malvinas War. At night, the screenings will continue with different titles at the Cine Select and the EcoSelect.

Art and memory in different cultural spaces

In addition to recreational activities, Sunday will offer a wide variety of artistic exhibitions. At the Islas Malvinas Cultural and Memory Center you can tour “La Plata en Malvinas”, a photographic record about ex-combatants, along with the exhibition “Only drawings that tell stories”, by ex-combatant Néstor Emilio Kruzich.

In that same space, “Malvinas: our history on the islands” will also be available, a proposal that invites us to reflect on the conflict in the context of the dictatorship, with graphic material and artistic productions.

On the other hand, in the Pasaje Dardo Rocha, the public will be able to visit exhibitions at the MACLA and the MUMART, with samples such as “It was supposed to make you happy”, as well as proposals linked to art and memory.

With a diverse and open agenda, La Plata will offer multiple alternatives to enjoy Easter Sunday with the family, combining entertainment, culture and reflection.
