The delivery room of a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, became the theater of a scene that went around the world in 2020 and now it has gone viral again. The photographer stated: «She opened her eyes wide, but she didn’t cry. The doctor even had to say, ‘Cry, Isa!’ She was still serious and only started crying after the umbilical cord was cut.»

Kunstmann left the delivery room and showed the snapshot to the newborn’s relatives who couldn’t stop laughing.
Daiane de Jesús Barbosa, the mother of the baby, whose name is Isabela, also took it with grace: «I thought, what face is she making? My daughter was born as a meme«.
Rodrigo Kunstmann, who was hired by the family to immortalize the birth, never imagined that his photo would go around the world and he told this to the magazine. To grow: «It was a sequence of 15 photos from the moment the doctor performed the delivery until the mother’s lap approached. It lasted less than five seconds«.
Two days later, the photographer uploaded to his account on Facebook the image, without waiting for the wave of reactions it would receive, inside and outside the country, and gave an ironic title to Isabela’s image: «Today is my birth and I don’t even have clothes for this event«.
