The New York Police (NYPD) arrested a 44-year-old woman accused of steal a bag in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan. The arrest occurred after a horse chase through the streets of the city that was recorded and shared on social networks.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the intersection of 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue, according to media outlets such as New York Post, New York Times y NBCamong others who echoed the news.
The detained woman was identified as Felicia Fieldwho stole a purse from another woman who was passing through the area and fled on foot.
A mounted unit officer immediately began pursuit. On the back of Kellya 23-year-old horse, the officer followed Field through traffic and down the sidewalk until he caught her.
