A new pre-Hispanic settlement of great relevance has been identified in the south of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, after being registered by the National Institute of Anthropology and History based on a citizen report in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, reports RT.

The site, called «The Little Boss»stands out for housing around 80 structures and was documented within the framework of the Mayan Train Archaeological Salvage Project.
According to specialists, the city presents characteristics of the Petén architectural style, with vaulted buildings, rounded corners and distinctive ornamental elements, it indicates. RT.

The first evaluations indicate that the settlement could extend over some 100 hectares and that its main core includes five large buildings up to 14 meters high.
