The Municipality of Mar Chiquita and the River Plate Athletic Club of Mar del Plata They formalized the signing of a framework cooperation agreement aimed at promoting sports, educational, social and cultural development in the region.
The agreement was signed by Mayor Walter Wischnivetzky and the president of River Plate MdP, Alejandro Yapuncic.
Objectives of the agreement
The agreement establishes a general framework of collaboration that will allow both institutions to develop joint projects in areas such as sports, academia, science, culture and the social field, always with the objective of benefiting the inhabitants of the Mar Chiquita district.
As agreed, specific actions will be defined through specific agreements that will be signed in the future. These agreements will detail objectives, tasks, contributions from each party, expected results and execution schedules.
In this way, the agreement lays the foundations for managing projects that require financing, even with support from third parties.
Sport as a tool of inclusion
From the commune they stressed that sport is a fundamental tool for social inclusion and the formation of values, especially among children and young people. In that sense, they pointed out that the alliance with an institution with River Plate’s history represents a unique opportunity to strengthen public policies in that direction.
«This agreement allows us to bring more tools to our clubs, schools and young people. Working together with River Plate MdP is betting on social sports as a community engine,» said Mayor Wischnivetzky.
For his part, Alejandro Yapuncic said: «For River de Mar del Plata, which is close to turning 100 years old, it is a pride to be able to extend our work to Mar Chiquita and contribute from experience to new projects that benefit the neighbors.»
