“Under the stitches”, the short semi-finalist at the Oscars, arrived at the theater

The play, which is set at the end of World War II, explores identity, faith and friendship as ways to stay alive. It went on stage, directed and generally produced by Veroka Silberman, on Sunday, June 7 and can be seen until the last Sunday of July, at 6 p.m., at the Carlos Carella Theater, 970 Bartolomé Miter Street, CABA.

The theatrical premiere of under the stitchesan Argentine short film that is a semi-finalist at the Student Academy Awards 2023, a distinction awarded by the Oscar Academy in the United States.

The play went on stage, directed and generally produced by Veroka Silberman, on Sunday, June 7, at 18 hoursand will continue to run until the last Sunday of July, in the hall of the Carlos Carella Theatrecalle Bartolome Miter 970 (almost 9 de Julio Avenue), CABA.

Set at the end of World War II, under the stitches tells the story of Lilli Needlman (Jochi Fariña), a young Jewish seamstress hiding in the basement of Hilda Hansen (Veroka Silberman), the owner of the workshop where she worked.

While she continues embroidering to survive, she is forced to make insignia for the uniforms of the German army, facing a deep moral conflict.

In that space of harsh confinement, the work explores identity, faith and friendship as ways to stay alive.

It is a historical drama, written by Micaela Geslin y Paula Fernandez Beneventowhich shocked the world and lasts 70 minutes.

They make up the cast: Veroka Silberman (Hilda Hansen), Jochi Fariña (Lilli Needleman), Diego Palacios (Official by Reichmann), July Bondi (Sonia), Lole Reynal (Erik) and the special participation of Soraya Lencinas.
