New Delhi/Luxembourg : The 19th Session of the India–Belgium–Luxembourg Economic Union (BLEU) Joint Economic Commission (JEC) was held in Luxembourg on October 29, 2026, providing an important platform for the three countries to take stock of their trade and investment relations and explore fresh opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation across priority sectors.

These included logistics, particularly air connectivity and port infrastructure; renewable energy and clean technologies; financial services and FinTech; digital transformation; information and communication technology (ICT); healthcare and life sciences; Ayurveda and traditional medicine; and agro and food processing industries.

Market-related matters also featured prominently in the discussions. The three sides exchanged views on addressing trade concerns, improving market access and identifying practical solutions to facilitate smoother commercial engagement between businesses.

The meeting enabled India, Belgium and Luxembourg to assess their respective economic priorities, review ongoing sectoral partnerships and identify opportunities for greater business-to-business engagement and investment collaboration. The deliberations reaffirmed their shared interest in maintaining sustained institutional dialogue to advance mutually beneficial economic relations.
