The second edition of the Authentic Gastronomic Festival, held from October 11 to 19 in Aruba, culminated with resounding success and confirmed once again that the “Happy Island” not only captivates people with its beaches, but also with the creativity and diversity of its cuisine.

During this edition, which brought together local and international chefs, more than 5,000 people enjoyed the different proposals of the festival in just two days. The second day was, directly, sold out, a milestone that reaffirmed the growing interest in the Aruban culinary scene and its international projection.
What was presented on this occasion
Throughout the week, the public was able to explore flavors influenced by more than 100 nationalities that coexist on the island. Auténtico offered everything from traditional dishes such as keshi yena to contemporary creations that fused global techniques with local products.
Among the guest chefs, Jaime Pesaque Roose (Peru), a reference in Peruvian cuisine and chef at Mayta in Lima, stood out; Christian Petroni (USA), famous Italian-American chef recognized by Food Network; and Tim Golsteijn (Netherlands), chef of the Michelin-starred Bougainville restaurant in Amsterdam.
The festival was organized into four main axes
- Restaurant Week (October 11–17): Fixed-price menus at participating restaurants.
- Bucket List Experiences (October 11–17): Exclusive dinners with international chefs.
- Educational sessions (October 16): Talks and presentations open to students, professionals and visitors.
- The Pavilion on Wilhelminastraat (October 18–19): Open-air food festival with more than 30 restaurants, drinks and live music.
«With Auténtico we share the heart of Aruba: our cultural diversity, culinary creativity and commitment to the community. This gastronomy week was a window to our identity; uniting tradition and innovation in every bite,» said Jordan Schlipken, director of the Aruba Tourism Authority in Latin America.
With its sustained growth, Auténtico is now positioned as one of the must-see culinary festivals in the Caribbean, strengthening the island’s gastronomic identity and its link with visitors from across the region.
