At least eleven people died this Saturday after a tremendous front crash between two vehicles on a road Brazil. Among the victims there are two childrentwo and four years old, and a pregnant woman.
The tragic event occurred on federal route BR-101, at kilometer 953.6, in the city of Mucurí, in the extreme south of Bahia, near the border with the state of Espírito Santo, in the northeast of the country.
The accident involved a Chevrolet S10 truck and a Fiat Dobló utility vehicle, which collided head-on for reasons that are still being investigated by the Federal Highway Police (PRF).
According to authorities, ten people died at the scene as a result of the impact. An eleventh victim was rushed to a medical center, but died hours later due to the severity of his injuries. The information was confirmed by the company Ecovias Capixaba, the concessionaire that manages that section of the highway.
The trucks collided head-on and caught fire.After the collision, both vehicles caught fire completely.which complicated rescue tasks and forced a wide deployment of firefighters, health personnel and security forces.
Due to the operation, BR-101 remained completely interrupted for several hours and was only released after the removal and expert assessment work was completed.
According to the first police reports and versions published by local media, The main hypothesis points to an attempt to overtake carried out improperly by one of the drivers, which would have caused the frontal impact.

One person reportedly survived the crash and remains hospitalized in serious condition.
