The pet was five years old when it was lost in August 2020 in the town of Haddenham, County Cambridgeshire, Inglaterra.

«We were in disbelief, and then you get a little ball of light in your chest, we were so excited to see it,» he said.
Bindi, a reunion full of emotion
The specialists they scanned a microchip that the cat had, which allowed it to be identified. According to Jilly, «he had a couple of small scratches that the vet wanted to take care of, but other than that, he’s great.»
«She is lovely and bright, well fed and It was taken care of somewhere. But we have no idea where he was in the last five years,» he explained.

Jilly said she spent her days looking for her, canvassing her Haddenham neighborhood and posting messages on social media asking people if they had seen her.
By 2021, Jilly had «lost hope» of getting Bindi back. «We were devastated, since they are part of your family. They are part of your routine, you wake up, you feed them, you give them attention, you wait for them to come back to give them dinner. It was a total change of routine,» he said.
Even though five years had passed, Jilly explained that Bindi recognized her. «She was instantly in our lappampering each other, and it was the best feeling. A true Christmas miracle,» he said.
