Erik Lamela, a former footballer who emerged from River Plate and with an outstanding career in clubs such as Rome, Tottenham and Seville, announced his professional retirement at the age of 33. His last team was AEK Athens in Greece, which he joined in July 2024 as a free agent with a contract until 2027.
