The Professional Surveying Council of the Province of Buenos Aires (CPA) delivered five high-precision GNSS equipment to the Department of Surveying of the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), within the framework of its institutional policy of supporting and strengthening the academic and technological training of Surveying in Buenos Aires.
The initiative seeks to provide the program with modern, functional instruments in accordance with the current standards of the profession, with the aim of improving teaching practices, promoting applied research and sustaining academic excellence in the training of future surveyors.
The agreement establishes the exclusive destination of the equipment for the practical classes of the degree, consolidating an institutional link that has been maintained for decades between both entities.
During the meeting, the President of the CPA, Agrim. Reinaldo Beain referred to the current challenges of Surveying training and the need for “teachers to understand the role of current Surveying.”
He also highlighted that «betting on education and technology is betting on the future of our profession. These equipment will allow students to access precision tools that are part of the daily work of the surveyor and modern territorial planning.»
“Every investment in training is an investment in territorial development and in the legal security that Surveying guarantees,” he added.
For its part, the Agrim. Soto expressed his gratitude “for the constant support of the CPA, which has been key to sustaining the academic and technological growth of our career.”
The signing of the donation contract was carried out by the President of the Superior Council of the CPA, Agrim. Reinaldo Beain and the Head of the Surveying Department of the UNLP, Agrim. Leandro Soto.
Also present on behalf of the CPA, Vice President Agrim. Guillemo Jacoby Beyer; the Secretary, Agrim. Oscar Lopez; the Treasurer, Lucas St. Esteben, and the Councilor and President of District 5, Agrim. Javier Pereyra, accompanied by the district Vice President, Agrim. María Verónica Giagante and the Member, Eng. Agrim. Catalina Hojman Conte.
The President of the Argentine Federation of Surveying (FADA), Agrim, also participated. Jorge Luis Soria; the President of the College of Surveying of Mendoza, Agrim. Javier Oyhenart, its Vice President, Eng. Agrim. Paola Gonella; and the President of the College of Surveying of the Province of Buenos Aires, Agrim. Darío Banegas, along with members of the “Rafael Hernández” Student Athenaeum, teachers and students of the program.
This delivery represents a continuity of the commitment assumed by the CPA with professional training, technological updating and the consolidation of strategic links between the institution and universities, fundamental pillars for the development and hierarchy of Buenos Aires Surveying.
