A 19-year-old British teenager pleaded guilty in court to various terrorism crimes. Dihan Rahman He admitted possession of material linked to the manufacture of explosives after a series of threats against his school.

The young man belonged to the subculture of the so-called «incels» or involuntary celibates, a group that holds women responsible for their lack of success in relationships. Under this ideology, Rahman promoted violent attacks as a form of social retribution.

The prosecution detailed that Rahman used the Internet to leak personal information about his colleagues, a practice known as «doxing». Its main objective was to promote massive harassment against female students.
During the trial in the court of Old Baileythe prosecutor Serena Gates stated that Rahman «embraced» an extreme ideology. According to the official, the content found on her phone included graphic videos of abuse and mutilations against women.
Gates maintained that Rahman found «common ground» between opposing ideological factions because of his «dislike toward the Jewish community.» His history showed images of support for the organization Hamas along with white supremacist slogans.

The discovery of the material occurred when a teacher inspected Rahmant’s cell phone after a bullying incident in March 2024. The teacher discovered photographs of Rahman with military cadet uniform while giving the Nazi salute under the message «Heil Hitler«.
Rahman also admitted to harassing a young woman two years younger than him and one of her friends. According to court reports, the Rahman made misogynistic threats even after his arrest and during his stay in jail.
Youth radicalization: an alarming phenomenon
The judge Simon Mayo warned the young man about the seriousness of his actions before requesting a pre-sentence report. «These are very serious crimes and will require appropriate punishment,» he said.
For her part, the head of operations of the London Anti-Terrorist Police, Helen Flanaganexpressed concern about youth radicalization. Flanagan highlighted that this case represents a «growing and worrying trend of young people attracted to extremist ideologies» through the consumption of content on the internet.

The police official also praised the bravery of Rahman’s victims. Flanagan noted that the young man’s actions towards the two teenage girls were «completely unacceptable«and highlighted the resilience of those affected throughout the judicial process.
The court will issue the final ruling next May. Rahman faces possible conviction of prison for possession of documents and videos useful for the perpetuation of terrorist acts, including instructions for creating bombs.
