Interview with Bianca Pizzolito director of WTM Latin America

The 2026 edition of WTM Latin America, an edition that foresees success in business rounds, and where success is almost assured, as a preview we were able to interview its director Bianca Pizzolito who told us all the details for this new edition.

Bianca, a new edition of WTM Latin America is coming, what evolution can you observe in the fair in these years that you have been in charge of it and what makes it different in 2026?

Bianca Pizzolito: The fair has evolved a lot in terms of qualification. Today is a more mature, more strategic event. In 2026, the great differential is precisely this ability to generate more relevant connections and programming even more aligned with market demands.

In a context where tourism increasingly seeks concrete results, how are you working to boost business generation within the event?

Bianca Pizzolito: We work on curation, matchmaking and the qualification of participants. It’s not just bringing people together, it’s connecting the right people. The event is designed to facilitate meetings that really generate results.

Tourism as a whole is becoming atomized and more and more tourists are looking for sustainability. Could you tell us what the Responsible Tourism section will be like for this edition?

Bianca Pizzolito: It is a central theme. The section is more robust, with content ranging from sustainability to regenerative tourism, always with the aim of expanding the debate and bringing different visions.

The Hosted Buyers program continues to grow, what’s new in this edition and what impact do you expect on networking?

Bianca Pizzolito: The program continues to grow and become more qualified. We expect a direct impact on business generation, with more strategic meetings and greater conversion.

From your point of view, what are the main trends that are shaping the direction of tourism in Latin America today?

Bianca Pizzolito: Experiences, personalization, technology and sustainability. We also see growth in regional integration and the appreciation of Latin American destinations.

Technology is gaining prominence in the industry, how will it be reflected in the experience of those who participate in the fair?

Bianca Pizzolito: It is present in the entire experience: from tools to solutions presented by exhibitors. Technology today is part of the business, not an add-on.
