Mick Hucknall has responded to the rumor that he has slept with more than 3,000 women.
The leader of Simply Red, from 65 yearsrevealed on one occasion that he had «three lovers a day» during the peak of his fame. The music legend has maintained a number of high-profile relationships, including with the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jonesactress Martine McCutcheon and supermodel Helena Christensen.
In 2010, he declared The Guardian: «Between 1985 and 1987, I slept with about three women a day. I never said no to them.» But now, Mick has addressed the allegations about his love life and admitted that he was: «A boy in a candy store who couldn’t believe his luck,» reports Daily Star.

He also talked about life with his wife, art dealer Gabriella Wesberry, jokingly saying that he feels sorry for her. He declared to The Sunday Times Magazine: «Poor wife. How he could continue with me, I don’t know.»
Hucknall and Wesberry married in 2010, after meeting in the ’90s. He also spoke about the movement MeToo and if he was worried about any of his former partners, telling the outlet: «It was always mutual.»
«You want to be attractive and, in my psychology, imposing yourself on someone is the opposite of being desired. Having someone desire you is what motivates me. Imposing yourself on someone «It doesn’t motivate me at all,» indica Daily Star.

Mick has not spoken to his daughter, Romy, 18, about the affair rumours. «It’s a thing of the past,» he said, before adding that while he is not religious, he takes his wedding vows very seriously and has no intention of being unfaithful.
A hectic life
Mick declared in 2023 to The Sun: «I was touring the world, single, playboy; I didn’t really know what I was doing,» he joked that he was «just having a good time.»
He added: «I think in life it’s good to have dimension, to have done a lot of different things, to have a lot of different experiences,» he says. Daily Star.

In 2006, Mick said of his sexual history: «No, I’m guilty. It’s the experience of life. I think it’s seeking approval. Love me, admire me, something like that.»
In most cases, however, it tended to have to do with with drunkenness. «You go downtown on a Friday or Saturday night and you see it all over the world. There’s nothing unusual about it, but because you’re famous, it’s reported, a lot of importance is attached to it. In the end, it doesn’t make you happy.»
Mick’s high-profile relationships include Catherine Zeta-Jones in 1998, a very short relationship with the television star Ulrika Jonsson, as well as Melanie Sykes, Prince Andrew’s ex-girlfriend, Lady Victoria Hervey and Steffi Graf.
