Starting this Wednesday, April 8, the Ministry of Human Capital of the Nation enabled the registration period for the Educational Vouchers. The measure seeks to alleviate the burden of school fees on low- and middle-income households that opt for private education with state subsidy.
In a city like La Plata, with a wide range of parochial and social management schools (privately managed public educational institutions), the scope of the benefit is expected to be massive.
Who can access?
The program is intended for families that meet the following requirements:
- Institution: Students must attend initial, primary and secondary schools with a state subsidy from the 75% or more.
- School fee: The value of the monthly fee must not exceed the limit established by the program (the single-day rate, without extracurricular activities, is taken as a reference).
- Family income: The family group’s income should not exceed 7 Minimum, Living and Mobile Wages (SMVM)which until the last record updated in February of this year, is equivalent to $2,504,600
- Age: The student must be a regular student and be up to 18 years old inclusive.

Amount and duration of benefit
The voucher consists of a temporary benefit that covers the 50% of the value of the single day rate. The money is credited directly to the bank account (CBU) declared by the parent responsible during registration.
How and until when to sign up?
The procedure is carried out 100% virtually through the official platform of the National Government (voucherseducativos.educacion.gob.ar). Those interested have time until the next April 30.
To complete the form it is necessary to have:
- CUIL of the minor and responsible adults.
- Name and jurisdiction of the school.
- CBU updated to receive payment.
