The city of San Martín de los Andes is preparing to receive prominent national authorities in the Surveying sector within the framework of the Georeferencing Training Conference, organized by the Professional College of Surveying of the Province of Neuquén (CPA), and under the auspices of the National Geographic Institute, the Argentine Federation of Surveying and the National Academy of Surveying.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17 in the Auditorium of the Hotel Le Village, located at 816 Gral. Roca Street, with in-person and virtual modes.
The event will feature the participation of nationally recognized figures, including Surveyor Sergio Cimbaro, president of the National Academy of Surveying and Director of Geodesy of the National Geographic Institute (IGN); Surveying Engineer Jorge Soria, head of the Argentine Surveying Federation (FADA) and Surveying Engineer Juan Pablo Parola, Head of the DPCeIT Geodesy Department, among others.
During the two days, specialists will address topics related to geodetic reference systems and frames (POSGAR 07), IGN positioning services (RAMSAC, PPP-Ar, GEOIDE-Ar, VEL-Ar), cartographic projection systems and the importance of parcel and legal georeferencing in territorial development.
The meeting will begin on Thursday the 16th with a tribute to local surveyors at the headquarters of the San Martín de los Andes CPA delegation, followed by the official opening ceremony*, led by provincial and national authorities.
The training is aimed at professionals, students and the interested public, and seeks to update technical and regulatory knowledge in a context where georeferencing becomes increasingly relevant for territorial planning, cadastral management and legal security of property.
