Unitech accompanied RIL’s Night of Mayors and Day of Cities with a focus on urban innovation and digital public management

The company was present at “La Noche de Intendentes”, the meeting organized by the Local Innovation Network, which took place in Rosario on May 13. The event brought together public officials, businessmen, media and civil society leaders.

Unitech, a pioneer company in digital transformation solutions for the judicial, government and corporate sectors, participated as an official sponsor of a new edition of “The Night of Mayors”, the meeting promoted by RIL (Local Innovation Network), the organization that connects, accelerates and inspires thousands of people who work to solve public challenges in cities in Latin America.

The meeting took place in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe, on Wednesday, May 13. It had the participation of more than 400 officials – including national and provincial ministers, senators, governors and mayors of 235 Argentine cities – and more than 360 businessmen, RIL ambassadors, media and civil society representatives. Representing Unitech were Judith Larrandart, Sales Managery Sergio Pili, COO of the company.

Unitech’s presence was part of an agenda of activities aimed at strengthening the exchange of experiences, promoting innovation and generating spaces for articulation between local governments, organizations and actors in the technological ecosystem linked to the development of more efficient, modern and people-centered cities.

«At Unitech we believe that cities are transformed when the public, private and civil society sectors work as a network. For this reason, we accompanied as official sponsors the latest meeting promoted by RIL Argentina,» he said. Lautaro Carmona, CEO of Unitech.

In addition to the institutional accompaniment to the meeting, Unitech participated in the following day of the activities developed during the “Day of Cities” in Rosario, an event focused on learning about specific initiatives linked to urban innovation, local development ecosystems and technologies applied to security and public management.

The agenda included tours and exchange spaces on urban transformation, public-private coordination models and technological tools aimed at optimizing the administration of cities and improving the experience of citizens.

«The alliance with RIL reinforces the shared vision about the strategic role of technology and collaborative work to transform public administration. For more than a decade, the organization has promoted learning networks, innovation programs and training spaces that today connect thousands of public servants and local governments throughout the region,» he highlighted. Judith Larrandart. And he added: “In this context, the articulation between organizations specialized in public innovation and technology companies is consolidated as a key factor to accelerate modernization processes and generate more efficient, agile and interoperable management models.”

Technology applied to the modernization of the public sector

Unitech’s presence alongside organizations such as RIL demonstrates the growing importance of building collaborative ecosystems where technology, innovation and public management work in an integrated manner to promote smarter, people-centered cities.

“With extensive experience in digital transformation projects for public organizations and judicial powers, Unitech continues to position itself as a leading company in technological solutions aimed at optimizing processes, digitizing document management and improving the operational efficiency of institutions,” he noted. Sergio Piliwho added: «Participation in this type of initiatives reflects the company’s commitment to the development of a more innovative, connected public sector prepared to respond to the current challenges of government management.»

Digital transformation in municipalities

Unitech experts indicated that the digital transformation in Argentine municipalities shows a very heterogeneous reality. In that sense, Judith Larrandart He detailed: «There are cities that are already moving forward with specific modernization initiatives, management dashboards, digital files or citizen services; but there are also many municipalities that still work with paper processes, very basic internal solutions or isolated tools that do not finish organizing daily management.» And he added: «What we observed at the RIL event in Rosario is that the need exists and is very concrete: municipalities seek to improve internal efficiency, organize files and procedures, monitor projects, have reliable information for decision-making and provide better services to citizens. The challenge is not only to incorporate technology, but to accompany that technology with clear processes, adoption by the teams and tools that can be implemented in a simple and sustainable way.»

Likewise, Unitech’s Sales Manager assessed that «what is missing is not the will to transform, but operational capacity, budget, technical time and solutions according to the size and maturity of each municipality. Therefore, the path should not be to impose heavy models or long projects, but to move forward with scalable solutions, with rapid implementation and with low entry costs, which allow us to start with specific needs and grow gradually.»

For its part, Sergio Pili He stated: «Unitech can provide concrete experience in the digitization of public processes, document management, electronic file, automation of administrative circuits, monitoring boards and integration of artificial intelligence tools applied to management. From our vast experience in executing technological transformation projects both in government (at the municipal, provincial and national level) and in justice (more than 6 judicial powers), we understand that digital transformation is not only about digitizing one or several procedures, but about redesigning how a public organization works, decides, controls and provides services. In that sense, solutions like Tramix® allow you to organize administrative circuits, manage digital files, provide traceability, reduce operational times and generate useful information for different levels of management.”

Unitech’s CCO stressed that, to promote this technological transformation, the company’s main focus is on helping municipalities organize internal processes, improve the monitoring of files and projects, and move from manual or dispersed models to simpler, measurable and sustainable management.

“This can include everything from digital file and procedure management to project monitoring, evidence for improvement programs, dashboards for secretaries, chiefs of staff and mayors, and progressive incorporation of generative artificial intelligence capabilities to the digital file with our portfolio of Tramix® Mind, Tramix® Mind Flow and Tramix® MIA Flow solutions that allow interaction throughout the life cycle with a true cognitive digital file,” he stated. Sergio Piliwho said in conclusion: «We know that many times municipalities already have some specific systems of their own or tools that already work in isolation, so the challenge is not to incorporate another isolated solution, but to integrate and organize the existing information to improve management and decision making. From the link with RIL, we see a very valuable opportunity to accompany municipalities in their transformation and modernization processes.»
