That spiritual process led her to visit a convent, where, according to her story, it was upon returning from that experience that she understood that consecrated life was her path.
That’s when he made the decision to abandon the catwalks, leave contracts and contests behind, and begin her training as a religiousin which he adopted the name Sister Evain reference to the first woman mentioned in the Biblea symbol he chose to represent a personal rebirth.
Her new life as the wife of Jesus
Today, Kamila—or rather, the Sister Eva– has 21 years and is part of the Congregación Sancta Dei Genitrixan independent institution of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church in Brazil, led by Orthodox priest José Ribamar R. Dias.
She has been a novice for almost three years and, far from disappearing from the public radar, her image remains current on the congregation’s social networks, where she always appears with a smile and subtle makeup, sharing daily reflections that begin with her now characteristic phrase: “Hey is everything good with you?”.
She is in charge of transmitting the daily spiritual messages and maintaining the digital link with the community.
Despite receiving marriage proposals and messages from admirers, Sister Eva assures that her decision to “Being the wife of Jesus is one of the most beautiful vocations that exist.”.
Its present, however, goes far beyond viral videos. The young woman participates in solidarity missions in the peripheral region of Sol Nascente, one of the largest favelas in the world which is located in Brasilia.
