Why 2026 marks the birth of a new era

Bea Leveratto is one of the most recognized astrologers in Argentina and an undisputed reference in astrological training in the Spanish-speaking world. Founder and director of the Consider School, author of several books, she has been dedicated to teaching, research and astrological dissemination for more than two decades as a tool for awareness, self-knowledge and deep reading of collective and personal time.

With a clear, sensitive and rigorous outlook at the same time, Bea has stood out for building bridges between traditional astrology and contemporary challenges, bringing symbolic language closer to new generations of students, therapists and seekers of meaning. Its approach emphasizes a living, incarnated astrology, capable of dialogue with the great historical movements and, at the same time, with the intimate processes of each person.
In this interview, he shares his reading about the transits that will mark 2026 and reflects on the profound change in consciousness that is taking place at a collective level that will begin to impact the individual.
There is talk of 2026 as a pivotal year. What makes it so special from an astrological point of view?
2026 has a truly unique event: the conjunction between Saturn and Neptune at the zero degree of Aries. Saturn and Neptune meet approximately every 33 to 35 years, but there is no historical record of them doing so at the zero degree of Aries. We are talking about an absolute starting point, a symbolic “big bang.” Saturn, as the last visible planet, makes conscious, visible and tangible what Neptune represents: sensitivity, empathy, the universal, the spiritual. That is why we speak of a new reality that is born, not only on an individual level but also collectively.
Other astrologers speak directly of the “birth of a new era.” Do you agree with that look?
Yes, although without falling into an apocalyptic look. I think that as humanity we come from a great shake-up, but this conjunction proposes something different: a reality that has a soul. It will no longer be sustainable to do things only out of obligation, inertia or empty ambition. Saturn–Neptune in Aries asks us for actions aligned with what we genuinely feel, with supportive consciousness. Personal desire has to be connected to something bigger.
In that sense, you speak of a new form of Arian energy. How do you see it?
Aries is usually associated with impulsive, reactive action. But this time I see a more sensitive energy of action, more connected to feeling. A kind of “sensitive masculinity”, understood not from gender, but as archetypal energy: daring to act from what has soul, taking risks for what truly moves us. It is not about going to war, but about starting from conscience.
You also mention a profound ethical change, even at a social level.
Completely. There is a phrase by Juan Carlos Gómez, a Colombian astrologer, that seems brilliant to me: “The time for demanding only human rights is ending and the time for taking charge of human duties has begun.” That’s very Saturn–Neptune: emotional responsibility, collective consciousness, empathy put into action.
Another key transit is the definitive entry of Uranus into Gemini. What does that imply?
Uranus in Gemini marks a revolution in communication, teaching and relationships. Its cycle is 84 years, and if we look back, it was in Gemini between 1941 and 1949, in the middle of World War II. In that period, advances in communication, encryption, technology, radars, and airplanes accelerated enormously. Today, without a declared world war, we see something similar: a quantum leap in artificial intelligence, robotics, technology and ways of transmitting knowledge.
How does this impact education?
Teaching needs to be profoundly modernized. Kids today are learning content that they probably won’t need in 20 years. Uranus in Gemini proposes freer, more dynamic learning, where technology is the protagonist and where learning is a living, not rigid, process.
And what role does Pluto in Aquarius play in this whole scenario?
Pluto in Aquarius finishes sealing this change of era. Power is no longer concentrated and is distributed in networks, groups and communities. It’s interesting because we have a very strong “I” with Aries, but that “I” has to pour its gifts into us. From the self to the collective. That is the great slogan.
In this new Aquarian era, what place does astrology have?
A central place. Astrology is Aquarian in nature: symbolic, integrative, avant-garde. I believe that today it fulfills an almost spiritual function, in the etymological sense of the word religion: to reconnect us with heaven, with meaning. Traditional religions no longer give answers to many people, and astrology appears as a language that touches the soul, that orders, that soothes. Many people say, “How come no one explained this to me before?” And that relief is real.
In your case you created and direct the Consider School. Why would you recommend studying astrology today?Consideral has more than 25 years of experience. There is a lot of pedagogical experience and a deep commitment to the students. In my role I try to transmit astrology in a clear and accessible way; I don’t think it has to be something inaccessible or cryptic. In this context of changing era, training in astrology is not just learning a technique: it is learning to read the time we are living in.
In your way of teaching, the idea of “making astrology understandable” appears very strong. Why is that so important to you?
Because today the technique, to a large extent, has already been resolved. Before, creating a birth chart involved enormous mathematical work, drawing it by hand, doing calculations. Today computers and cell phones do that immediately. So the real challenge is not there, but in How do we translate that symbolic language so that the other can understand it?Astrology is useless if it is locked in a code that only astrologers understand. It has to be able to be said, communicated, embodied.
What kind of reality do you imagine opening up from that moment on?
A reality that has soul. It will no longer be possible to live disconnected from what we feel, from what moves us, from what gives us meaning. That is why I believe that symbolic languages such as astrology and tarot are going to be increasingly necessary. For a long time they were associated with obscurantism, with something marginal, but in reality they do good, they heal, they order, they restore spiritual meaning. They help us understand ourselves and locate ourselves in the time in which we live.
