André Guidon’s Leggera Pizza Napoletana in São Paulo, Brazil, has been confirmed as the best pizzeria in Latin America by 2026, according to the industry’s most influential guide, 50 Top Pizza. The announcement was made last night at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Rio de Janeiro during a crowded ceremony. The event was broadcast live on the network’s social media channels and was presented by actor Pietro Barana. The guests, as well as the award winners, were received by the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Rio de Janeiro, Marco Marica.
The top 15 in the 50 Top Pizza Latin America 2026 ranking – four more than last year – automatically qualify for the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World. During the awards ceremony, the top 15 received the Golden Ticket, the only way to access the 50 Top Pizza World 2026 awards ceremony, scheduled for September in Naples.
A growing guide
The big news for 2026 of 50 Top Pizza Latin America is a constantly growing guide that, in addition to the ranking of pizzerias, also includes the section called “Excellent Pizzerias” (“Excellent Pizzerias”). This list indicates forty places where you can enjoy a good pizza. This brings the total number of recognized pizzerias throughout Latin America to 92

The next 50 Top Pizza event is scheduled for May 27. It will be broadcast live from New York to reveal the best pizza restaurants in the United States of America by the year 2026.
