Argentina has established itself as one of the great epicenters of professional talent in Latin America with global projection. Thousands of professionals in the country today work for companies around the world, in remote or hybrid modalities, promoting sectors such as technology, knowledge-based services and health.
But, although the growth of this knowledge economy had an increase of 20.8% year-on-year in 2025an urgent need persists in the country. 80% of companies report not finding professionals with skills in sales, technology, finance, administration, digital marketing and human resourcesaccording to the report Argentine Labor Market 2025 of Adecco.

A gap that demands continuous specialization
Reconciling both perspectives is a challenge. There are qualified professionals, but there is also an important gap that demands continuing specialization and academic credentials that open the door to new opportunities, with a special focus on skills such as critical thinking and ability to adapt to complex digital environments. These are the new needs of the world of work and they can contribute to the local economy and project Argentine talent to global markets. For more information on labor trends, you can consult the Adecco Argentina site.
In this scenario, the postgraduate training and, in particular, online master’s degreesare beginning to gain prominence as a tool to close the gap between labor supply and demand.
The international view: VIU bets on Argentine talent
“Argentina has a very solid university tradition and highly valued professionals in different international sectors” he pointed out Eva María Giner, Rector of the International University of Valencia (VIU) who recently made an institutional tour to Argentina and Latin America with the objective of getting to know the national university system and exploring opportunities for academic collaboration with local institutions.
“Our visit seeks to open spaces for dialogue with universities and organizations in the country to analyze possible avenues for academic collaboration and continue strengthening university education with a global perspective” explained the expert, and added: «Argentina has managed to consolidate a very competitive talent base, especially in areas linked to the knowledge economy, and with great digital awareness. Postgraduate and continuing training play an important role so that professionals can continue expanding their skills and project their careers in increasingly global environments» .
Health: another sector where continuous training is key
In addition to higher education and talent development, the visit agenda also addressed the strengthening of training in the field of healtha sector in which professional updating and academic exchange are especially relevant, where the integration of clinical knowledge, management and data analysis is increasingly relevant.
“Current healthcare systems require professionals with solid training and the ability to integrate clinical knowledge, management and analysis of information into healthcare practice” explained the Dr. Vicente Gea Caballero, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the International University of Valencia.
For the dean, dialogue between universities and international academic collaboration can also contribute to strengthening the training of health professionals and promoting educational models that are increasingly connected to the challenges of the sector. “The exchange of experiences between university institutions enriches health training and allows progress towards healthcare systems that are increasingly focused on people’s well-being” he added.
Institutional visit and regional projection in Argentina and Latin America
In Argentina, VIU authorities held institutional meetings with the Department of Education of the Spanish Embassy in Argentinathe Argentine Catholic University and the Ministry of Human Capitalthrough the Ministry of Education and the Directorate of International Cooperation, in addition to the program Campus Argentina Global. These meetings allowed us to exchange perspectives on the role of higher education in the development of talent and the international projection of Argentine professionals.
Through this type of institutional visits – which also included Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Colombia and Peru – the university seeks to continue strengthening international academic dialogue and explore new opportunities for collaboration that contribute to the development of talent and the exchange of knowledge between Europe and Latin America.
