New strategic alliance: ORBITH connects the National Volunteer Firefighters System with satellite internet for field operations

Through a strategic alliance with the Council of Volunteer Firefighters Federations of the Argentine Republic, the company provides high-speed, low-latency satellite internet to barracks throughout the national territory. Through the implementation of low orbit technology and a flexible equipment model on loan without initial investment, this agreement guarantees stable communications and operational coordination in real time for emergency contexts in the most isolated areas of the country.

ORBITH, a leading provider of satellite Internet services, announced the completion of a cooperation agreement with the Council of Volunteer Firefighters Federations of the Argentine Republic (CFBVRA). The central objective of this alliance is to strengthen the connectivity of the barracks that make up the National Volunteer Firefighters System (SNBV) throughout the country.

The initiative contemplates access to advanced satellite internet solutions to optimize communication, operational coordination and access to real-time information in critical contexts, especially in those areas where traditional terrestrial infrastructure presents severe limitations. In addition to fixed connectivity for barracks, the proposal includes mobile solutions developed by ORBITH, which allow satellite internet to be brought to operational vehicles and emergency units, facilitating communication during transfers, field deployments and off-base operations.

Connectivity when you need it most

«In a country with great distances and extremely diverse geographical realities, many volunteer fire stations face daily connectivity difficulties that directly impact their ability to respond to emergencies. With this agreement, ORBITH seeks to actively accompany the digitalization and modernization of these institutions, bringing technological tools that allow them to maintain stable links even in the most challenging environments. This includes not only connectivity for the stations, but also mobile solutions that allow operational vehicles to have satellite internet during transfers, deployments and tasks in territory,” he explained Paula Ravarino, Marketing and Sales Manager for the Residential and SME segment of ORBITHand highlighted: «For ORBITH it is a pride and an enormous responsibility to put our technology at the service of an institution as noble and fundamental as the Volunteer Firefighters. We know that, in their work, every second counts. Therefore, at ORBITH we want to provide technology that strengthens the response capacity of the barracks, facilitates coordination in critical situations and accompanies the daily work of those who protect their communities.»

For its part, the Council of Federations highlighted the profound impact and scope of the initiative: «It represents an advance in terms of technological innovation, since having fast and stable communications is essential to improve coordination and response to emergencies, especially in regions where access to connectivity is more complex,» said the Eng. Carlos Milanesi, President of the CFBVRA.

Technology ready to operate in the field

The implemented solution contemplates the use of low orbit (LEO) satellite technology, which allows access to high-speed Internet with minimal latency in locations where other connectivity alternatives are insufficient or non-existent. The service is deployed using compact equipment that is quick to start up, which makes it suitable for both fixed installation in barracks and for use in mobile units and emergency operations in the field.

This approach facilitates access to quality connectivity in a simple and efficient way, solving structural needs in rural areas, areas with difficult access or points where traditional networks suffer constant interruptions.

A proposal developed from territorial experience

This agreement is part of ORBITH’s new corporate connectivity proposal, designed specifically for small and medium-sized companies, organizations and institutions that need to operate with reliable internet outside large urban centers.

«The solution is based on Starlink network technology and is marketed, managed and fully supported by ORBITH, which provides its local support structure, technical support, logistics and professional installation throughout the country. Unlike other traditional schemes on the market, the proposal stands out for allowing access to the service through a loaned equipment model, which prevents organizations from having to make a high initial investment to purchase the antenna,» he stated. Paula Ravarino, and assured: «Our solution was designed for contexts where connectivity plays a strictly operational role: it allows critical tasks to be sustained, the use of digital tools in the cloud, optimization of internal communication and functioning as a backup link in the event of eventual outages of the main service.»

The ORBITH solution also incorporates a flexible scheme that includes:

· Adaptable plans according to consumption needs.

· Possibility of adding additional navigation data.

· Professional installation anywhere on the map.

· Priority local technical support 24 hours a day throughout the country.

· Continuous commercial and operational support from ORBITH.

Territorial impact with concrete application

«This agreement accurately reflects how we understand connectivity at ORBITH: we do not see it simply as the provision of a service, but as a vital strategic tool to operate in extreme situations where there is no margin for error. Being able to accompany the deployment of volunteer firefighters in every corner of Argentina is the maximum expression of that territorial commitment,» he said. Paula Ravarinoand concluded:In this way, the agreement ratifies a firm step in the incorporation of technological innovation aimed at strengthening the National Volunteer Firefighters System, closely accompanying its daily operational needs and contributing directly to improving security, communication and coordination throughout the national territory.
