Alliances between Latin America and Israel were reaffirmed through the Isaac Agreements in Puerto Madero.
From June 28 to 30, the Conference of Presidents of Latin America brought together legislators, ambassadors, religious leaders and political figures. It was organized by the Israel Allies Foundation (IAF) in cooperation with the American Friends of Isaac Accords (AFOIA) of the Genesis Prize Foundation.
There were legislators from 12 countries (Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Honduras, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Panama). The meeting took place at the Alvear Icon Hotel to reaffirm its alignment with Israel through the Isaac Accords.1
These agreements were launched jointly by Javier Miley y Benjamin Netanyahu (Israeli Prime Minister) and signed by the national representative Sabrina Ajmechet (LLA) in April of this year. Through a document official, the draft declaration aims »strengthen strategic cooperation in defense of freedom and democracy».
The document also mentions its inspiration based on the Abraham Accords designed by USAwhere Donald Trump’s administration apparently seeks »promote peace through actions that seek regional stability and economic prosperity», all those countries that wish to integrate are welcome.

On the other hand, the statement mentions »the descendants of Isaac and the nations of the Judeo-Christian tradition» as bastions to defend against the alleged threat of »freedom and democracy», using biblical references in a government document.
The meeting also urged that Latin American countries move their embassies to Jerusalem and recognize it as the official capital of Israel, whose most populated center is currently Tel Aviv. Tensions regarding the establishment of embassies arise due to the partition of Palestine into two territories carried out by the UN in 1947.2
