The H No Murió made the Ópera Theater vibrate with a devastating tribute to “Ácido Argentino”

The H Did Not Die once again demonstrated why the legacy of Hermética remains more relevant than ever. The band performed at the Ópera Theater in La Plata with a show full of power and emotion, within the framework of the tour that celebrates 35 years of Argentine Acidthe album that marked a before and after in the history of national heavy metal.

The event was at the Sala Ópera, located on 58th Street between 10 and 11, where hundreds of fans filled the place to relive one of the most important works of the genre.

At 9:30 p.m., a huge curtain opened to start the show with “Stole a Car.” From there, the band performed Argentine Acid almost in the same order in which it was conceived, continuing with «La Revancha de América», «Memoria de Siglos» and «Prediction», while a gigantic reproduction of the historic album cover dominated the back of the stage.

The emblematic cover was created by the plastic artist José Laluz and constitutes a strong criticism of corruption, inequality and the sociopolitical context of the early 1990s. Published in 1991, at the height of Menemism, the album reflected a time marked by privatization and massive layoffs. The illustration shows Uncle Sam, dressed in the colors of the American flag, strangling a woman wearing a red Phrygian cap, an image that over the years became a true symbol of Argentine metal. Members of the original community are also seen surrounded by a spear, retirees demonstrating and battered railway tracks with a closing ribbon.

A brief greeting from Claudio O’Connor gave way to «Atravesando Todo Límite», a song composed by Ricardo Iorio with Ana Mourín, his former partner. The figure of the historic founder of Hermética was present throughout the night. Beyond the differences that at the time caused the separation of the band in 1994, the memory of Iorio was constant and felt by musicians and the public.

The tour of Argentine Acid He continued with «Horizonte Perdido», «Vientos de Poder», «Del Camionero», «Gil Trabajodor», «Evitando el Ablande» and «En las Calles de Liniers». At the end of «Gil Worker», O’Connor harangued the audience with a forceful: «The H will always be with the workers. Long live Peron!unleashing a standing ovation among those present.

One of the most emotional moments came precisely with «En las Calles de Liniers», a song originally performed by Ricardo Iorio and which Claudio O’Connor once again made his own, accompanied by an audience that sang every verse.

Beyond nostalgia, the recital revealed the generational renewal that Argentine metal is experiencing. Among the attendees were fans who have accompanied Hermética since the nineties, with teenagers and children who proudly wore their band t-shirts, transmitting a passion inherited from parents and older siblings.

Days before the show, O’Connor had defined that reality during an interview with Rock & Pop: «In our shows there is a great mix of ages. It’s like a Sunday table where the whole family is. «You think that kids are into something else, but rock never dies.»

Completed the complete interpretation of Argentine Acidthe group reviewed album classics Hermetic y Victims of Emptying. Without special guests or artifices, La H No Murió opted exclusively for the songs that marked a generation and that, three decades later, continue to awaken the same intensity among metal lovers.

The closing came with the emblematic «You Are Their Security.» With the entire Teatro Ópera singing in unison, the band put the finishing touch to a night that confirmed that Hermética’s legacy remains intact, and that Argentine metal remains more alive than ever.
