A contractor assured before the Court that the Chief of Staff, Manuel Adornihe paid USD 245,000 in cash for carrying out remodeling works in his home located in the Indio Cuá country, in Exaltación de la Cruz. The statement was made in the context of a case for alleged illicit enrichment that the federal prosecutor is investigating Gerardo Pollicita.
According to the testimony of Matías Tabarresponsible for the work, the spare parts included floors, walls, a barbecue area and a pool with a waterfall. The contractor maintained that All payments were made “cash”, without issuing invoicesand that the money was delivered by hand by the official himself.

According to judicial sources, Tabar presented proof of materials, furniture and audiovisual records of the progress of the work. The work would have lasted approximately eight monthsand the initial budget was around USD 94.000although it would have later been expanded to reach the total amount declared.

Adorni’s entourage rejected the figure and pointed out that “that is not the amount” paid for spare parts. Furthermore, they anticipated that they will request an official expertise to determine the real value of the works, considering that the mentioned number does not correspond to the characteristics of the home.
The property is located in the Indio Cuá country and is listed in the name of Bettina Angelettiwife of the official, who acquired it in November 2024. Part of the operation would have been financed with a loan of USD 100,000 with a mortgage guaranteeaccording to official documentation.

In parallel, Adorni avoided answering questions about his assets in a recent press conference. “If I had to give more explanations, I will give them in the competent area, which is Justice”he stated.
The investigation seeks to determine the origin of the funds used both for the purchase of the property and for the spare parts, in a context of analysis on the estate development of the official.
