Benito Mussolini’s granddaughter, Alessandra Mussolinia well-known politician and television personality, emerged as the winner of the latest Italian edition of the format VIP Big Brother.
Mussolini achieved 56% of the public vote beating the other finalist of the television program, Antonella Elia.
«I feel very happy. I had no idea! We have lived in a bubble,» he celebrated on his social networks.
She is also the daughter of Sophia Loren’s sister.
The winner, 63 years old, was born from the marriage between a son of Benito Mussolini, Romano, and Maria Scicolone, sister of actress Sophia Loren.
With her beginnings as an actress in the world of cinema and also as a singer, in the early 1990s she entered the world of politics with the Italian Social Movement, a post-fascist party with which managed to be elected deputy in 1992.
Since then it has been deputy and senator for different right-wing formations such as the People of Liberty and Forza Italia, by Silvio Berlusconi, as well as an MEP between 2004 and 2008.

A well-known face on television, entertainment and politics, he has been the protagonist of some controversies, such as when, in a television debate with the transsexual activist Vladimir Luxuria, he blurted out that It was «better to be a fascist than a faggot» (faggot, in Italian).
However, in recent years it has changed its position and since 2021 it openly defends the LGBT community, supporting, for example, a well-known law against homophobia.
