The mayor will lead the party at the local level after an agreement between the different sectors. It aims to organize the space by 2027.
The mayor of The SilverJulio Alak, will take over the leadership of the local Justicialist Party this Saturday after reaching an agreement on unity between the different sectors of Peronism in La Plata.
The appointment, which will be formalized in an event at the headquarters on 54th Street between 7 and 8, marks a new political scenario in the city. Alak will replace provincial deputy Ariel Archanco after intense negotiations that led to the formation of a single list.
The agreement included the main internal spaces of Peronism, such as La Cámpora, Bruerismo and other aspects, which agreed on the integration of the 16 party secretariats. As defined, those who hold these positions should not have elective functions, such as legislative seats or council positions.
In this way, the communal chief not only reinforces his institutional role, but also his political leadership within the district, by concentrating the leadership of the municipality and the party. From those around them they indicated that the objective is to strengthen the territorial organization and consolidate a common agenda.
Peronist unity and electoral perspective
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for this Saturday, April 18 at 5 p.m. and is part of the list called “Peronist Unity”, which seeks to organize the space in the face of the upcoming electoral challenges.
Alak will once again lead La Plata Justicialism after 16 years and will do so with a project that includes the renovation and modernization of the historic party headquarters.
For his part, Archanco highlighted the political process he went through during his administration, highlighting that he assumed the leadership of the PJ in a context with an opposition municipal government and leaves the party aligned with a Peronist administration in the city.
With this movement, the Peronism of La Plata seeks to consolidate a unified structure and strengthen its political positioning for the coming years.
