American astronaut Jessica Meir shared a «timelapse» video recorded from the International Space Station, in which her SpaceX Dragon ship is seen with a spectacular aurora australis and the Earth in the background, informa RT.
A timelapse view from our @SpaceX Dragon of the spectacular southern aurora seen in yesterday’s post, a result of a recent solar event. As opposed to the previous aurora I’ve seen, this one danced and snaked its way directly below us, putting on quite a show. I am in awe of this… pic.twitter.com/ReztjH3x9H

The phenomenon was caused by a recent solar event.
Meir noted that, unlike other auroras he had observed, this one «danced and meandered» just below the station, offering an «ethereal and deeply moving» scene, he says. RT.
