“Cerca del Fin”, the new album by Hollywood Bungalows between Jujuy and Buenos Aires

Argentine alternative rock receives one of the most anticipated proposals of the year. Hollywood Bungalows presents “NEAR THE END”their second studio album that comes to consolidate the sound identity of the Jujeño power trio. This work emerges as a testimony of resistance and adaptation, capturing an artistic evolution that transits between the immensity of Jujuy and the effervescence of Buenos Aires.

Concept and aesthetics: The desert as a metaphor

Unlike his debut, characterized by speed and momentum, ““Near the End” proposes a reflective pause. The visual and narrative concept revolves around the desert and sandelements that symbolize the passage of time, wear and transformation.

The band’s search turned towards careful minimalism. With fewer layers of sound but a more direct emotional charge, the album allows each composition to breathe. This aesthetic is reinforced with the album cover, a photograph captured in the Huancar dunes (Abra Pampa, Jujuy)where the human scale merges with imposing nature.

“This album is an honest photograph of our current stage. It is the result of the distance, the changes and the growth that we go through as a band”explain its members.

The album is a journey through various genres that converge in an alternative rock proposal with nuances of pop, shoegaze, funk, dance y punk. Creative process between Jujuy and Buenos Aires

The production of this album represented a logistical and human challenge. With its members spread geographically (Ale in Jujuy, Mati in CABA and Agus in the province of Buenos Aires), the album was created through an unbreakable virtual bond for almost four years.

From a catalog of more than thirty compositions, the eleven that best synthesized the band’s message were selected. The recording was distributed between Eunoia Studios in Jujuy and the emblematic Unison Studios in Vicente López, founded by Gustavo Cerati. The technical production was under the direction of Nico Parker Pucci.

A history of recognition

Hollywood Bungalows has built a solid path since its inception. Their debut was declared of cultural interest in Jujuy and their national projection led them to win the contest The Biennale. They have been part of grids at large-scale festivals such as Primavera Sound. he Emerging City Festival and the Los Tekis Carnival.
