Another apparent corruption scandal adds to the list of facts that contradict the anti-caste and pro-austerity discourse of La Libertad Avanza. There is an official fired.
The criminal complaint was made by the deputy of the Civic Coalition Monica Fradewho requested that the granting of credits by the Banco de la Nación Argentina to officials, legislators, leaders linked to the ruling party and leaders of the so-called “digital militancy” be investigated in what different sectors already classify as a “credit festival”1.
According to the judicial presentation, loans were granted for amounts ranging from 100 up to more than 500 million pesos —in some cases equivalent to about $350,000.
“It is necessary for Justice to determine if these credits respond to normal procedures or if they have been granted under exceptional conditions.«said Deputy Frade to Cadena 3, who also warned about a possible misuse of savers’ funds2.
Among the cases mentioned are the Secretary of Finance Federico Furiasedirectors of the Central Bank and the BICE -Investment and Foreign Trade Bank-, Government advisors, directors of public companies and legislators such as Mariano Campero, Santiago Santurio, Lorena Villaverde (arrested in Florida on July 15, 2002 for cocaine trafficking of 400 to 150 kg.) y Alejandro Bongiovanni. Also mentioned is Sharif Menemlegislative advisor and direct family member of congressional authorities.
The list continues with the Economy official Felipe Nuñez and with the Presidential official Juan Pablo Carreiraalias Juan Doe (who under the orders of Santiago Caputo holds the position of National Director of Digital Communication of the Presidency, which tried to deny the information about Manuel Adorni’s properties, and also held the position of director of the media outlet La Derecha Diario): both received credits for more than 800 million pesos of the public bank during the current government3.

According to La Politica Online, it is common for officials to take loans to justify purchases of properties that do not match their declared income, which would be a way to avoid judicial problems such as those of Adorniwho is currently being investigated by Justice and whose defense lawyer is the same one who defended the businessman at the time. Alfredo Yabran4.
Until now there has only been one official fired, Leandro MassaccesiChief of Staff of the Ministry of Human Capital: according to the document, Massaccesi was granted almost 420 million pesos.

It is worth remembering that the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovellohad his own scandal with the food delivery hold intended for soup kitchens, where the national government admitted that did not perform any audit about the canteens whose assistance was cut off under the argument that «they did not exist», causing millions of kilos of food to remain undistributed and close to the expiration date in the ministry’s warehouses.
Furthermore, Pettovello is also involved in the scandal of GAVE (National Disability Agency) for alleged requests for bribes from laboratories. The leaked audio of Diego Spagnuolo (former head of ANDIS) mentions the general secretary of the Presidency as the beneficiaries of the scheme, Karina Mileiand the presidential advisor Eduardo «Lule» Menemand also states that both Pettovello and President Milei were aware of the situation.
