According to him, the first few days were very calm. However, the season is just beginning andActivity increases as more tourists arrive and the night movement grows.
Why work increases in summer
Sanxenxo multiplies its population during the summer season and becomes one of the main tourist centers and nightlife in the Rías Baixas.
This growth increases the demand for trips between residential areas, hotels and nightclubs. The greatest movement is usually concentrated between ten at night and seven in the morning.

According to the figures in the original note, a taxi driver in the area can bill between 250 and 450 euros gross per day. Once expenses are deducted, the daily net profit can be between 130 and 220 euros.
Local routes, such as those connecting Sanxenxo with Portonovo, usually cost between 8 and 12 euros. Trips to O Grove can cost between 25 and 30 euros, while A trip to Pontevedra can cost between 30 and 40 euros.
Drivers who extend their hours can achieve a gross monthly billing of up to 8,000 euros during the busiest months.
The challenges of the night shift
The greater profitability of the summer also implies long hours and complex situations. Night driving and alcohol consumption can force drivers to deal with difficult passengers.
Added to this is the platform competition of transport vehicles with drivers, which put pressure on the local market during the high season.
For Paula, the main change consists of getting the body used to a completely different routine: work during the night and sleep during the day.
