Repligue is a non-profit civil association that carries out solidarity activities and also promotes knowledge of Argentine history. We interviewed one of its members, Bruno Corti.
Originated in Capital Federal and later expanded in General Roca and in our city, Fold was born with the objective of »well-being of the Homeland, which is nothing more than the happiness of the people and the greatness of the Nation. Our activities are aimed at preaching this cause», Bruno tells us.
These activities range from holding soup kitchens – every other Friday on the corner of 7 and 50, where more than 50 people are fed -, the distribution of clothing and donations to the creation of resumes. As a territorial association, »We claim and promote the organization of our community to solve problems and improve quality of life of the place where we develop».

In addition to a solidarity association, Repliegue is also a publishing house and media outlet registered as such with the national registries and the Argentine Book Chamber. He currently has two published comics: The debt that gave birth to uson the external debt, and Beautiful sleepersabout the history of railways.
His line goes hand in hand with the ideas of Saint Martin and with the currents that involve the sovereignty and the industrialization of the territory. On its website the association maintains that »Preaching the national cause is more than talking about it or training in its theories or forms of execution, it is fundamentally carrying it out, because the most intense contagion comes from example.».

Regarding the perception of needs in the city, Bruno states that »The social climate is the same that we all breathe in our daily lives: that of an Argentina co-opted by individualism and abandoned by its political system. It is clear that over time the number of people who attend the pot is increasing, a situation that is not exclusive to these years, but has been around for a long time.».
According to data from INDEC, poverty affects almost 300,000 people in La Plata. However, the director of the Social Debt Observatory of the UCA, Agustín Salvia, he claims that this measurement is based on outdated consumer basketswith parameters that belong to the year 2004.
That is, poverty is probably even higher than what the national body claims.
Therefore, associations like Repligue are essential to combat hunger and the lack of basic and fundamental rights. Being an organization without political-party financing of any kind, its resources are limited, since these arise from the fruit of its work and the contributions of its members.
Currently the solidarity group is needing »a fixed kitchen place, colleagues who join in to lend a hand and food donations». You can subscribe with a monthly payment of $2.500 (or donate larger amounts) to collaborate with your cause but also to access various benefits:
