Rey Garufa, the tribute band to Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, comes to C Art Media on Saturday, July 4 at 7 p.m. With 17 years of experience, the group will present “En Directo”, a show that recreates the legendary album of the same name released in 1992.
The proposal revives the power, intensity and mystique of one of the most representative stages of Los Redondos. With a faithful interpretation and a specially designed staging, Rey Garufa reconstructs the experience of that historic live recording track by track.
A story that was born in Tandil
The project was born in 2008 in the city of Tandil, province of Buenos Aires. A group of musicians began to meet in a rehearsal room to perform Patricio Rey’s songs.
Over time, those meetings transformed into live performances. The response from the ricotero public grew show after show. Each recital became a true mass of ever-increasing convocation.
The show: more than a recreation
“En Directo” recreates the legendary show immortalized in the album of the same name from December 14, 1992. The proposal is one of the band’s most impressive formats, an XXL show designed for the whole family and suitable for all audiences.
Rey Garufa revives the Ricotera liturgy with extraordinary musical fidelity, overwhelming energy and a unique connection with the public.
The experience goes far beyond recreating the album’s repertoire. The show adds an explosive selection of the most emblematic songs of Los Redondos, those that marked entire generations and became national rock anthems.
