Next Sunday, August 2, a delirious theatrical proposal premieres in the City of Buenos Aires that exposes, with pure laughter, the great illness of our time. Written, directed and starring Jorge Belleret, the play promises 80 minutes of laughter and an uncomfortable but necessary self-reflection.
The independent theater of the City is preparing to receive a proposal that promises not to leave anyone indifferent. He Sunday, August 2 at 7:00 p.m.he Open Space Theater (located in the historic Carabelas 255 passage, CABA) will be the scene of the premiere of “Too much ego… It’s never enough!”a hilarious comedy that shines a light on contemporary egocentrism.

The work, created by the multifaceted Jorge Belleretfeatures a parade of characters as ridiculous as they are painfully recognizable. Through a succession of dynamic and hilarious scenes, the plot crosses influencers, underdogs, aristocrats, teachers on the verge of collapse, and disputed identities. The result is a mirror of our small daily miseries where, as its synopsis anticipates, «the ego saves us… until it ruins our lives».
«It is a work to laugh… and then wonder if the joke was not about oneself»slide from the production on this 80-minute show of acid humor.
A solid cast and a seal of black humor
The show is supported by a powerful acting sextet made up of Jorge Belleret, William Alfaro, Jimena Dwight, Ariel Manzi, Aldana Alvarez Merino and Norber Rodriguez.

Belleret, a native of San Miguel and with more than 20 years of experience on the Buenos Aires stage, has just starred “Oh mom, what is happening?” in the multi-scene and the one-person «REST in PIS (humor diuretic)». With a strong influence from national humor references such as Antonio Gasalla, the director here consolidates his stamp within black comedy and contemporary grotesque.
