The resumption of activities in the schools and faculties of the National University of La Plata opened a new concern: how to recover the contents and classes that were left pending after the successive force measures that marked the beginning of the school year.
After several weeks crossed by teaching and non-teaching strikes, the authorities of the different academic units and pre-university establishments began to evaluate alternatives to reorganize the schedules and guarantee compliance with the pedagogical objectives of the first semester.
The university conflict has accumulated more than 30 days with classes suspended or affected so far in 2026. The protests were driven by salary demands, the opening of joint negotiations and the full application of the University Financing Law, a demand that continues to generate tension between the university system and the national government.
In the schools dependent on the UNLP, including the Anexa, the National, the Liceo and the Baccalaureate of Fine Arts, the interruption of activities was practically total for several days. The situation also impacted most faculties, although some academic units managed to sustain part of their in-person or virtual activities.
Faced with this scenario, teachers and academic authorities analyze different strategies to recover content without significantly altering the evaluation calendar. Among the options being studied are the reorganization of programs, the intensification of activities and the use of virtual tools to complement in-person classes.
Uncertainty, however, remains present. The university unions maintain their demands and do not rule out new forceful measures, while students and families observe with concern the development of an academic year that continues to be conditioned by the salary and budget conflict.
