Talk about Edgardo Machain It is to go through an artistic search where the song becomes a bridge between memory, identity and encounter. Born in Rosario, the musician, composer, singer and producer built a work that connects local roots with Latin American cultural dialogues, becoming one of the contemporary voices of Argentine author songs.
His artistic proposal is built from a universe where Argentine folklore, milonga, blues, rock and pop coexist, not as isolated genres, but as different ways of telling stories, emotions and human landscapes.
With a deep look at the inner and collective reality, Machain built his own musical identity, in which poetry occupies a central place and the songs invite us to stop, listen and reflect. His artistic journey is based on a constant search that understands music as a meeting space.
«I understand music as a meeting space. Songs carry our roots, our stories and also the possibility of dialogue with other cultures,» expresses Machain, synthesizing a way of conceiving artistic creation that runs through his entire career.
From Rosario, his city of origin, he built a work that connects territories and sensibilities, building bridges between different musical and cultural expressions.
A trajectory built from exchange
Throughout his career, Machain promoted cultural exchange with artists from Rosario, the region and different countries, performing on stages in Santa Fe, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Buenos Aires and Mendoza, as well as Brazil and Peru, and touring Spain and Eastern Europe during 2018 and 2019.
That journey also led him to share stages and open concerts for Argentine music leaders such as León Gieco, Celeste Carballo, Alejandro Del Prado, JAF, Adrián Abonizio and Lalo de Los Santosexperiences that are part of a trajectory marked by the encounter with different generations and musical languages.
Its commitment to the construction of spaces for exchange is also reflected in the cycles “Open Song” y “Songs that Unite”of which he is co-founder. Both proposals were declared of tourist interest by the Rosario Tourist Entity and municipal interest by the cities of Rosario and Mar del Plata, consolidating themselves as spaces where music generates links between artists, audiences and communities.
This vocation to unite cultures also moved to the international level. Machain promoted an artistic bridge between Curitiba (Brazil), Rosario, Mar del Plata and the City of Buenos Airesrecording with the Brazilian singer Juliana Cortes a bilingual version of Inside Outby Ceumar and Ruiz, strengthening the musical dialogue between Argentina and Brazil.
Identity made song
During 2026, this creative path finds a new synthesis in the “Trilogy of Identity and Path”a project artistically directed by the teacher Marcelo Stenta and made up of three works that dialogue from memory, territory and identity.
The first delivery, «Heart»with lyrics and music by Machain, was released on March 12 and is now available on Spotify along with its official video clip.
The trilogy is completed with “Rosario”with lyrics by Mauricio Béssolo and music by Machain, and “The Wild Rose”a deeply personal composition dedicated to his ancestors, where family memory is transformed into song.
More than three independent works, the proposal presents a conceptual journey about what builds our identity: the places we inhabit, the stories we inherit and the links that cross us.
MORE Trio: a new stage for the same search
This artistic journey finds a new dimension today in M.A.S. Tríoa formation made up of Machain along with the guitarist, composer, arranger and artistic director
Marcelo Stentaand the percussionist Martin Albano.
The story of the trio was born spontaneously, after meeting in different settings. The incorporation of Albano emerged as a natural consequence of that musical connection, giving shape to a project where friendship, listening and artistic sensitivity are transformed into a new way of interpreting songs.
Stenta’s arrangements, the flight of the guitars and a subtle percussive base build a sound landscape that enhances Machain’s compositional universe. The proposal is also expanded with the participation of Marco Bortolotti in low and Thito Amantte on accordion, while Juliana Cortes participates especially in the recordings of the trilogy.
More than a new formation, MAS Trío represents the continuity of an artistic search: to understand the song as a language capable of uniting cultures, rhythms and poetry. A look that also goes through the spirit of the cycle “Songs that Unite”whose motto —“Uniting Cultures, Rhythms and Poems, made into Song”—summarizes a way of understanding music as a space for dialogue and collective construction.
A present that continues to expand
The next Saturday August 1, 2026Edgardo Machain MAS Trío will present his proposal in Pinchanguin the city of Rosario, on a night marked by a tribute to Mother Earth and the participation of guest artists:
Patricia Verón, Adrita Ruiz, Natacha Gattarello y Cía., Nahuel Farías and Flavio Oliver.
The presentation will be a new opportunity to approach a work that continues to grow without losing its roots, reaffirming the song as a meeting ground between stories, cultures and generations.
