The authorities found the body of Chiara Guerraa teacher of 53 yearson the third consecutive day of searching in the waters of the Malgher Channel, a few kilometers from the location that provided its 17-year-old nephew after confessing to the crime.
Crime makes headlines Corriere della Sera, The Morning y TG24. The media Italians indicate that the victim’s nephew told investigators that dumped his aunt’s body to the waters of the Lemene river, where it flows into the Malgher canal, in the Settesorelle area.

A conflict over inheritance?: the reconstruction of the crime
Authorities believe that around 1:30 pm on Thursday, June 11, the woman got into an argument with the teenager in the woodshed of the family home.

Chiara lived alone on a 5,000 square meter farm, after her parents, the grandparents of the alleged aggressor, and founders of the farm, moved to a nursing home.
His nephew also lived on the same farm with his parents, but in a smaller house. The forensic experts maintain as a preliminary hypothesis that the dispute became physical, and stabbed his aunt several times with a knife or daggercausing his death.

The young man, who will turn 18 in two months, has a fractured wrist and several wounds on his body, signs that lead investigators to not rule out the possibility of a desperate fight between both.
Neighbors stated that there was a bad relationship between the woman and her brother, the teenager’s uncle. They argued frequently and apparently always for the same matter: the family fortune.
According to investigators, Chiara’s nephew would have acted alone, without involving anyone else. The video surveillance images From the area they show him at 2:10 p.m. leaving the house on foot with a wheelbarrow covered with a tarp. He was wearing clean clothes, so they believe he removed his blood-stained clothing before leaving the property.
The journey, about 700 meters, took 10 minutes. He stopped on the bank of the Malgher River, near the lock, where he would have dumped his aunt’s body.
At 2:30 p.m. he returned to the shed with the wheelbarrow, which was seized and presumably also cleaned, and half an hour later he left again to throw the knife used in the murder and the clothes he was wearing at the time of the crime into the river.
Neither the weapon nor the clothes were recovered yet, but the priority of the investigators was to find the body of the 53-year-old woman as soon as possible, since the current of the Malgher River could drag her to the mouth, towards the Adriatic Sea.
His nephew confessed to the crime to the authorities
The victim’s nephew is detained, accused by the Trieste Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office voluntary manslaughter and concealment of corpseafter he confessed to both crimes.
«Only the analysis of the body will be able to confirm the perpetrator’s statement,» emphasized Pordenone prosecutor Pietro Montrone. As for the motive, initial reports point to a previous discussion with the young man’s grandparents, both long-term residents in two different nursing homes in the area.
During the interrogation, the boy said that his aunt made an offensive or malicious comment towards the elderly couple and that was the starting point for the fight they had in the shed.
However, in the days after his aunt’s disappearance the young man showed concern about disappearance before neighbors and acquaintances, claiming that he did not know where the woman was.

He will remain detained in a juvenile center in the province of Treviso until the autopsy of the body is performed and the correlation of his version with the cause of death.
The doors of the San Stino di Livenza Comprehensive Institute, where Professor Guerra taught Italian, history and geography classes, were filled with posters of condolences.
Her students are taking the eighth grade exams for which she had prepared them. The students asked their teachers for permission to go to the teacher’s house and there, they placed a flower and a sign that said: «We will strive to get good grades in our exams so that she can feel proud of us. We will always carry her in our hearts.»
